Bed Bug
Inspections
First, we conduct an in-home inspection. For many clients, their bed bug journey ends here following the inspection.

Our technicians have inspected thousands of homes, many of which were deemed to be Bed Bug Free during the inspection phase.

If bed bugs are present, our pros know where and what to look for including bed bug eggs, fecal matter, skin shedding, and live bed bugs.

Many people are unaware that all phases of bed bugs, even eggs, are visible to the naked eye.

Did you know that bed bugs are biologically attracted to both carbon dioxide (human breath) and body heat to find a human host to feed on? This makes your bed an ideal place to start an infestation.

Bed Bugs are parasitic, just like mosquitoes. Both find humans and draw blood as a means of subsistence. While mosquito bites can run some risk of transmitting disease or pathogens to humans, bed bugs carry no such risk. In essence, while bed bugs are "safer," left untreated, they multiply rapidly within your home. This usually starts out in the bed, where the nocturnal bed bug senses your carbon dioxide and body heat.

In all but severe infestations, the bed bug will come out to feed when you are fast asleep. They don't want to bother you. Upon biting, their anti-coagulating saliva is designed both to numb your skin and make your blood flow quicker.

A baby bed bug, or "nymph" will immediately seek a blood meal after hatching. The blood meal will cause the bug to grow and shed its old skin. After 5 feedings, the baby nymph is now an adult and will reproduce with other bed bugs. This happens most frequently in the warmer months.

Our technicians have inspected thousands of homes for bed bugs and understand the biological behavioral patterns in a bed bug infestation.
Heat Treatment
Should the inspection indicate positive for bed bugs, experience teaches us that heat is the great equalizer during bed bug treatment. Chemicals and desiccants are not our primary methodology when treating for bed bugs. Why? Bed Bugs have developed immunity to many of the pyrethroid based chemicals being sold both professionally and direct to consumer.

There is no immunity to heat.
Did you know that some retail bed bug products can actually make a bed bug infest worse? Particularly problematic: aerosol "bed bug bombs." Widely available, these gimmick devices do little more than irritate bed bugs, causing them to move to a different part of your home. In essence, bed bug bombs spread what could have been a contained infest.

Our heat equipment is state of the art, designed specifically to kill bed bugs and their eggs using thermal shock.

We get them all.

Our work and your satisfaction are Guaranteed. We are here for you during all phases of treatment, including any questions you have afterward.

We are often asked by clients how they got bed bugs to begin with. While it's usually not possible to pinpoint the exact source, we're usually pretty good at determining a likely source. For example, certain professions, such as travelling nurses have a higher exposure rate to bed bugs. It just takes one pregnant female bed bug to "hitchhike" into your home, usually on clothes or luggage to start an infest.

Regardless of the source, it is crucial to eliminate bed bugs once they are detected as they will reproduce exponentially if left untreated.
